Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation is excited to share resident Jonell Lear’s Success Story!

Ms. Jonell Lear was admitted to Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation on February 14, after experiencing a CVA and craniotomy for a meningioma, which affected her mobility, daily activities, and safety awareness. Upon arrival, she required significant assistance with bed mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, as well as thickened liquids during meals.

Determined to regain her independence and return to her husband, Ms. Lear worked hard in her Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy sessions. Her dedication paid off quickly—within just a few weeks, she was able to complete bed mobility, transfers, and ambulate with a rolling walker, all with minimal help. She was also upgraded to thin liquids and needed much less assistance with safety awareness.

On March 4, 2025, Ms. Lear was discharged home, excited to continue her recovery with her family. The staff and residents at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation will certainly miss her bright smile and lively conversations. We wish her all the best as she moves forward!
