Success Story: Emma Walker

January 17, 2024

Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation is excited to share resident Emma Walker’s Success Story!

Ms. Emma Walker was admitted to Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation on November 16, 2023, as a long-Term Care resident following a hospital stay for multiple medical complexities. Before her hospitalization, Ms. Emma lived independently at home but received assistance from her family for certain instrumental daily activities. Upon admitting to Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Emma required moderate assistance with transfers and needed support for functional mobility and self-care tasks. These challenges were attributed to decreased standing, balance and muscle strength as well as endurance loss in both upper and lower extremities.

Emma worked hard with our physical and occupational therapy team and actively participated in each session, demonstrating a strong commitment to her rehabilitation. She not only engaged well in therapy, but also found joy in socializing with fellow residents, fostering meaningful connections! The community at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation expresses great satisfaction in having Ms. Emma as part of their long-term care program. Congratulations to Emma and her Care Team on their success!
