Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation is excited to shine the spotlight on Mr. Cottongim’s Success Story!

After a hospital stay, Mr. Cottongim was admitted to Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation in July of this year. Upon admission, he was weak and required assistance with his mobility and self-care. He received physical, occupational, and speech therapy to be independent with his mobility self-care tasks, improve cognitive skills, and return home to live with his wife.

Mr. Cottongim worked with physical therapy to improve his standing balance, transfers, ambulation, and ability to go up and down steps. He worked with occupational therapy to increase his independence to perform self-care without assistance. Mr. Cottongim also participated in speech therapy to improve short-term memory and safety in decision-making. Mr. Cottongim was very motivated to return home. He demonstrated significant progress with therapy and was able to complete functional mobility, complete stairs, self-care and improve cognition and decision-making with independence-modified independence. We are proud to announce that Mr. Cottongim successfully discharged from our community and returned home with his wife! Congratulations to Mr. Cottongim and his Care Team on their success!
